Mike and I married December 10, 2006. For our honeymoon we decided to visit Hawaii. During our visit we toured two islands,
the Big Island (Kona) and Maui. We stayed nine days and enjoyed every minute of it. We had many adventurous encounters and
also had many leisure moments. We hope we get the chance to go back!
Every moment on the trip was memorable. We shared many laughs and romantic evenings. Most of our days were filled with large
waves. The waves were so large we were knocked down most of the time, which made us dring plenty of salt water.
What we Did:
When we first arrived we started on the Big Island. Although we rested most of the time, we had the chance to swim with
dolphins at a Dolphin Quest and tour the island by plane. The plane we traveled in was very small, it only held eight passengers.
I was chosen as co-pilot. Although I held on for dear life, we saw some amazing things. After three days on the Big Island,
we headed towards Maui.
When we arrived in Maui we noticed this was more of a commerialized island. We did lots of
shopping and dined at every resturant possible. Of couse we did yet more adventurous activities. We took a trip on a submarine,
snorkled, hiked through a rain forest and rode a mountain bike down a dormant volcanoe. We participated in a Luau and drank
one to many Mai Tai's out of a coconut. We also visited the Kapulua Plantation Course which was hosting the PGA
Tour. We saw Jim Furyk tee off and later met up with Jason Gore and Kelly Tillman to bring in
the New Year.
